Debunking the Myth of Separation

Healing our world by debunking the myth of separation from God.

I’m going to be real and upfront with you. I feel a sense of hesitation about sharing my spiritual side with you. I know that some people have had uncomfortable and even awful experiences with “believers.”

I’m concerned that these discussions might, for some people, be triggers of past trauma.

I write that because this episode, Part 2 of my conversation with Baxter Kruger on The Trinitarian Vision, is the most personal expression of my faith I’ve shared (so far) on this program, and, I just want to say…

It’s not what I was taught growing up. I was told that…

I was separated from God the Father, and this “father” was so angry with me that his Son had to absorb his murderous vengeance.

I was taught that I had darkness in me – real evil – and that God could not even look at me. After all, the Father turned his back on his own Son while he bore my sin. Are we…

Sinners in the hands of an angry God?

I have no doubt that this faith has benefited some people. Maybe it helped them overcome addiction and learn how to serve others. But the truth is, that this paradigm has ALSO…

  • Provoked pathologies.
  • Justified jerks.
  • Caused cruelty.

In fact, most of Christendom outright rejects the Golden Rule concept we call the Zero Aggression Principle because they believe that humans are born bad (even evil), and their political opponents are proof of that. Those people, they reason, must be crushed by the governing authorities. But…

Separation from God is a myth!

What do I mean by that? Well, here’s what happens next…

What I just wrote will trigger not the anti-religious, but rather the very religious people. In fact, experience tells me they’ll write emails and post comments to set us straight, and they’ll do so without even listening to the show.

Please, instead, hear us out. Bill and I sat down with Baxter Kruger of Perichoresis, and recorded three episodes called The Trinitarian Vision.

THIS EPISODE is Part 2, titled Healing Us and Our World. Here we travel deep into the soul, and we discover the predestined (before time) plan of God. The stunning result is Love that draws us together and enables us to practice grace – the healing of us and our world.
