Spike Cohen became a Christian. Here’s his first interview about it.
Maybe the very concept of faith seems strange, even unreasonable. Well, this interview should be interesting to you.
As you likely know, Spike was the 2020 Vice Presidential nominee of the Libertarian Party.
He’s now the leader of You Are The Power (YATP), an organization that advances Human Respect by getting government officials to recognize the humanity of the people they’re harming. Officials relent as grassroots activists apply respectful but persistent and increasing pressure.
But most of this interview is Spike explaining his journey from cynic to believer, along with what he hopes that will and will not mean.
The discussion of faith is raw yet profound, and you might even be surprised by it.
OR…
During the interview, Spike had epiphanies (defined by Merriam-Webster as a sudden perception of the essential nature or meaning of something). More than one of these moments happened during the show. They were fun to watch, and you’ll be able to see them clearly.
Mr. Cohen also clarifies how he sees his faith in light of his heritage.
But how will Spike’s new experience impact YATP?
Well, they’ve already helped a long list of real people. The YATP program is already working for…
- Both the homeless and the people who help them
- Families reunited after they were denied due process at the hands of Children & Family Services
- Homeowners suffering the heartlessness of zoning boards
- And more!
We spend time discussing how and why YATP is effective.
It’s still basic activism for all people of goodwill. Yes, I meant all people because as they grow, more and more non-libertarians are joining and learning about Human Respect as they act.
Indeed, YATP’s marketing has been, from the start, an example of a spiritual concept that Spike figures out right in front of viewers — one of which we hope will be you!

Thank you for continuing with Gracearchy, it is much appreciated!
This is great, and I’m thrilled for Spike Cohen, and delighted that you at Gracearchy got to hear it first. This is just a treat to listen to, and I appreciate the humility you all, including Spike, approaches this,
Amen to the less of me, more of God! All we who are Christians should keep this in mind.
I have taken the liberty to post this on the scored forums, both in Christianity and Libertarian.
