TL;DR the 80,000 pages of the JFK files. What was in them?

TL;DR means “Too Long; Didn’t Read.” An abbreviation for an abbreviated mood in an instant and time-pressed culture.

On Monday, Donald Trump was arriving at the Kennedy Center. He decided that was a good place to say, “Tomorrow [Tuesday], we’re releasing 80,000 pages from the Kennedy assassination files.” He believed there wouldn’t be any redactions — which was an odd way to say that such was his Order to the bureaucrats handling the matter.

The first set of files appeared on the National Archive website after business hours Tuesday. Then, another batch came late that night. That was 63,400 pages total.

I bet you haven’t had time to read them all, yet!

Well, I haven’t read them all, either. But I digested a significant amount of information, and Bill and I rushed into the studio to give you the earliest possible snapshot.

In the first portion of this episode, we share tools and tips to avoid being conned by people online.

Then, we show you some of the worst viral activity on Twitter and why it’s disinformation, where it isn’t downright stupid and, in one instance, evil.

Next, we share two pieces of new information revealed in the files.

Then, we go through a list of what we want to see finally revealed. Nearly the entire list is made of things we already know exist, and we know where or how the government stores these materials.

We turned off the camera. Less than 30 minutes later, we discovered five of my claims were already outdated! So, we went back into the studio to add a new ending to the episode.

If you watch this one hour, you’ll be mentally armed to look like a JFK Files expert with your friends.
