An undercover IRS agent tried to sting Ian Freeman, but no one could have predicted what happened next!

Most libertarians are familiar with the Ross Ulbricht story. In review, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for charges that were not even tested in court, and for which he was not convicted.

You are probably also aware that President Trump promised to pardon Ross during the campaign. Then, he promptly kept that promise.

Now comes another miscarriage of justice, which we hope will also have a good ending. You can help that happen.

Ian Freeman was a libertarian activist in Keene, New Hampshire. He was also a partner with Mark Edge in one of the most successful radio talk shows in America, Free Talk Live.

In this episode of Gracearchy with Jim Babka, I interview Mark. We explore who Ian Freeman is, my relationship with both of them, and how Ian was sentenced to eight years in prison, despite committing no authentic crime.

The Ian Freeman story involves…

An IRS undercover agent attempted to entangle Ian’s Bitcoin operation in illegal activities. He did this by misrepresenting himself as a heroin dealer. He hoped that Ian’s opposition to drug prohibition would entice him to engage in money laundering.

If you listen to the show, you will learn how…

Ian skillfully evaded the setup only to be charged and convicted anyway.

Yes, you read that correctly. You will also learn how the jury ruled against him primarily because of charges that the judge threw out after the verdict was delivered.

Yet Ian went to prison anyway!

We recorded this incredible story about an extraordinary person in July. Tune in to hear it.
