She doesn’t smoke, drink, or use drugs. She’s also pro-life, and that motivated her to participate in fostering children.
And that fostering experience was the beginning of a learning journey.
She learned about ACEs – Adverse Childhood Experiences.
ACEs are traumas. As these negative events accumulate in childhood, they increase the odds of addiction. Christina discovered that foster care includes ACEs.
