Do you remember Ammon Bundy? He used militia tactics, not once, but twice.
First, there was an armed resistance against the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada in 2014. That first case ended peacefully. Then, for six weeks in 2016, he led an armed occupation of Oregon’s Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. In this latter instance, a member of his cohort was killed.
You’d expect Ammon Bundy to be MAGA. Nearly all of his allies, from back in the day, are. But…
Mr. Bundy believes the actions of ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) are anti-Biblical and contra-Constitutional.
Many of his former allies have chucked him aside for not being sufficiently MAGA. They love ICE policy; they openly question and even insult Bundy.
For his part, Bundy considers himself a Christian with libertarian leanings. He wanted a way to communicate with these old friends, maybe even convince them. He sat down and wrote a manifesto titled The Stranger.
Bill and I review it in an episode titled “A MAGA Case for Open Immigration by Ammon Bundy.”

The purpose of this installment of Gracearchy with Jim Babka is simple and direct…
We’re talking directly to Trump supporting Christians who, perhaps at some time recent in the past, believed themselves to be for the Constitution and limited government.
That makes this episode different. Normally, we’re exploring my views. my arguments. But here in episode 155, we’re sharing the view of a Christian Constitutionalist with others who, until recently, talked as if that’s what they believed.
Bundy’s essay, titled The Stranger: A Christian and Constitutional Case for Protecting Those Who Come to America, is compact, well-organized, and substantial. We include a link to it in the “show notes.”
When you tune in… You’ll gather insights on how to speak in the language of a Christian-Constitutionalist friend. Or, maybe you just want to share this episode with them.
This short show is perfect for commute time, to play while you shower or shave, or to listen to as you do another task. That’s why we’re on these audio podcasting platforms: Spotify * Pandora * iHeart * Apple, and several others.

The Bible is very clear about its stance on how God’s people are commanded to treat foreigners and immigrants.
